What would make you unable to work ???? If you are considered disabled... you can apply for SSI Benefits..... the gov't pays you because of your disability !! Or you can apply for gov't funding such as Welfare,..... don't know how you can qualify for that.... you can also apply for food stamps |

Through a combination of Social Security disability and Long term disability from my employer. My car is 22 years old and my mobile home is 39 years old. If my expenses were greater, I would be in major trouble.
I have multiple sclerosis and have been disabled by the constant state of exhaustion for 21 years. I don't have much, but I'm not homeless.
p.s. my mobile home was top of the line when it was new, so it is still in excellent condition. |

Welfare baby and section 8 . My grandfather all the way up to my kids are on the public trough . We get baby formula- we sell it for crack money - , wic coupons , aid from the state , food stamps from the federal governmant , and we hit every food bank twice a day and we eat out at the church kitchens . I pimp my old lady so she brings in $750.00 a night for incidentals and I run a fence out of my section 8 housing crib . Life is good and we all it all to you working stiffs . This brother loves america !!!!!!!! My Hummer and caddy are in other peoples names and the price of gas is killing me too . |

You should always try to have a back up plan.You should try to save up to 1-6 months worth of your monthly living expenses in a cash savings account. If not that, through my savings in mutual funds. If you are desperate, you could always withdrawal money from your retirement account, but that should be an absolute desperation situation and last resort. I am assuming that you mean out of a job for a short time and looking for another. If you mean, physically unable to work, then disability would be an option, but only if you were truly unable to work. |

Your best bet would be to contact your county social services department to see what assistance they have. If you have no income, you should be able to qualify for food, and housing assistance. |

Some people get section 8 to pay for rent and utilities. Govenment money to pay for food. Such as welfare. But if you are disabled, contact your local Social Security Office to apply for disability. |
