replace it, unless you want bad relations |

*This is how i disappear*
yea, because if you borrowed it, they trusted you to give it back. |

Olivia
ABSOLUTELY! If you don't have the means to do it right away, apologize and let your neighbor know that you will be replacing in due time. (inform them that it may take a certain amount of days, weeks) - that way, they know you have the best intentions to replace. |

davidos
you borrowed so replace it with like or better ya scumbag |

stan c
If you have homeowners insurance rental insurance, they should issue a replacement check for the broken piece. |

M.A. Diamonds baby
yeah, ..if you're a real loser, go into hiding.
if not, tell them what happened and pay a little each week until its payed, ...or work out whatever arrangement with them. |

If I borrowed something and it got broke why it was with me, yes I would replace it, this is the person that I see everyday, and I would put myself in the other persons place., how would I feel? If they would borrow something from me? |

frankiechocolate
how would you want to be treated? |

KIZIAH
It would be the right and moral thing to do. You don't want to have to dodge your neighbor. These days we need all the friends we can get.
If you don't replace it, you're telling your neighbor that he was stupid to loan his lawn mower (or whatever) to you in the first place. It could drag down the whole neighborhood. Do you want to live in an attitude of trust or one of crookedness? |

If your neighbor broke something they borrowed from you, what would you want your neighbor to do? |

swissrmeman
I would discuss it with the neighbor. I certainly would not hide from it like a child. Be an adult and fess up to your mistakes and the world will be a better place. |

Demarco B
Yes , I would replace it because they trusted you, what if they say you need to borrow something else they may still have some trust in u. |

kaShiRa
buddy you really have to buy something for replacement...you just borrowed it remember?..that is why it is your sole responsibility to take good care of it.. |

?
The etiquette would be not to delay in fulfilling the replacement.Make arrangements for reasonable return payment which wont cause much inconvenience to the person and yourself.Other wise later you could have unnecessarily accusation to be levelled against you... |

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
If someone borrowed your stuff, and broke it, what would you want them to do??? |

mister ed
that is the problem with borrowing something == but lets say you borrow $369.00 would you pay it back or be a dead beat and wash your hands of your neighbor!!! |

HeavyD
Of course I would replace it, because it's the right thing to do. And do you really think the neighbor won't notice? |

ethereal
if you borrow something you are responsible to return the item the way as it was before. failing to do so will end up in dispute.
put it this way, would you let it pass if somebody borrowed something from you and return it broken?
for healthier relationships with fellow earthlings, be more considerate of their feelings.
Do unto others what you want others unto you.
Be responsible for your actions, its a sign of maturity.
Peace. |

Well,
It depends on what you borrowed.
If they said it was something important, such as an hierloumb
then no.
Being a good kind of guy, I would tell them and ask if I can help in any way.
However if it is something that your neighbour wouldn't mind to loose and thier forgiving people, then maybe you should be a good person and make up the money to buy it back.
This is just my oppinion- but if you want to choose the right or wrong path be my guest. |

Anne B
Of course! If I borrowed something from a stranger and broke it I would replace it. |

tuesdaymyst
Yes I would replace it - would'nt you like the item replaced if it had been yours? |

W00tbeer1
