I agree with Stan C. The best thing to do whenever one comes into a cash windfall is to put at least 50% of it into savings first. Then you can use some to pay down bills and another part for whatever you'd like. My wife and I have been saving like this for almost 25 years and have managed to accumulate a large sum of money, approaching $750,000. Once you get enough saved, it will simply grow by itself through investments in CD's and savings accounts. Our accounts now earn us nearly $400 weekly, and none of it is invested in the stock market, because we don't trust Wall Street. I cannot stress enough how much it pays to save your money. In your retirement, you will be glad you did. |

Open a savings account and when you really see something you want, you'll have it. You can also add to it every month to build up the account. My wife and I have been doing it for 35 years. |

I'd take my close friends out and spend $100 on a lunch or dinner. Then I'd buy some flowers for my mom, and shaving equipments for my dad. I'd spend $20 on a book. And then donate the rest to a local charity such as for children or senior citizens. |

Risk that $200.00 on a micro business venture. What are you interested in? Whatever you are interested in and knowledgeable about may translate to some kind of a business edge. Making money in this manner usually is not easy or fast, however. It can be a lot of fun though. |

start a very small business like a lemonade stand or bake pizzas and sell it to your neighbors. you can also deposit it at the bank to let it grow through interest. |

I'd invest that small amount of money in a cash term deposit at the bank. If you already have an investment in a mutual or managed fund, I'd add it to that, because it would get a lot more interest than it would on it's own. |
