£250,000 for college?!?!?! Do you plan on living in a mansion and having champagne for breakfast at college? haha I managed to get through 4 yrs of uni with about a tenth of that.
That's nice you would give 25% to charity, not many people would do that :). I'd like to think I would. I would spend a lot on my family and a house and a car for my boyfriend and I (he had an accident so we have no car now) and save the rest for living expenses. 1 million wouldn't go far after buying a couple of houses I reckon (normal house and holiday home of course hehe). |

I'd invest £200,000 to buy a house when I think the market has just about bottomed. I don't think that will be for a year or two at least.
I'd give £100,000 to my sister and the remaining £700,000 I'd invest to give me an income on which I could retire. If, like me, you have few assets, £1,000,000 doesn't really make you wealthy, just comfortable. |

1/3 save it and don't think about it (try to forget it) it's for emergency and secure your future.
1/3 have fun buy things that is make you happy and open business to generate a good monthly revenue.
1/3 invest it on any long term investments, Real estate, Gold, Buy shares etc.
and think twice when you spending this amount, because you can't guarantee what will happen to you tomorrow in life.

Well it would be easier to say what I would`nt do with it. I would not buy Newcastle United, I would not help pay for Seaton Deleval Hall, only to have to pay to get in to see what`s been done, I would take Elizabeth R to court, and question why she wants a rise of over 3 million pounds, I could go on and on, but I guess you`ve got the gist. Now for what I would do with the money, I would build more homes for the elderly, free of course. I would build a large ship, big enough to house the lazy men and woman on the dole, anchor it in the Bermuda Circle, hope its true what they say. The druggy`s next, because they too choose the downward path. Anything left, would go to the family. I would have the ships built on the Tyne, where some of the greatest ships were built. |
