first I would pay off our house, then I would buy each of our daughters (2) a new car & pay insurance for them for a year, with the remaining $$ I would invest in stocks at this all time low & bide my time until the stocks rise again!

Quit my job so I could open my own business from home. Buy a larger house, have another child and invest the rest. I'd also take the kids to Disney World!

djshaugh
I would invest in realestate and make another quick million;)

invest it wisely and live off the interest.

Pay off my debts. Invest the rest.

Not let my greedy family have a dime of it. :P

i would buy me a house, buy my kids a house and get some vehicles. Also i would pay off my debts and put the rest in bank accounts. I'll still keep my job, and use the rest of the money when needed. ( Also i'll give some money to my parents.)

Cry because i had lost half my money!!!!!

If you are worried about banks etc because of the financial situation i would advise to split between numerous bank accounts as the government covers a certain amount in each account if the bank folds.

Here in UK it was £35,000, £70,000 if in joint names.

Property is always a good investment (well in UK anyway) even though prices are falling, they will rise again and in the mean time rent is going through the roof so good income.

NOTHING , , , with that much money I wouldn't have to the rest of my life.

First convert it to pounds sterling that is undervalued right now and then buy gold bullion that some analysts believe will double in price in the next year. Next year, I would sell some gold and buy bonds if interest rates have gone back up and live comfortably off the interest. But first, I would have a beer to celebrate! lol
