Out of curiosity, I always wondered if I would do this. If I received a large sum of money - would I keep some of it, or give it away? A friend once told me that the happiest lottery winners were the ones who gave a great deal of their money away. I haven't won the lottery (yet) but I am not sure if I would ever give it away (if I won). |

I would put fuel in my car and pay my rent and utilities for a year and buy some groceries.. by then it would all be gone.. (don't forget what the govt gts for taxes).. Well, maybe not ALL would be gone but with today's economy you get the point. |

I would certainly put a good chunk of it in saving bonds and such, keep a bit of it for trips and current needs, and give a small portion to charities. |

hello - i would invest what was left after taxes and use 50% of the interest earned to work on conservation things, either through ecotourism or flat cash contributions. I would continue to work until I have 2.5 million banked, then I would retire. |

Did you see the today show about that family that sold there house because the teenage daughter wanted to? That project is amazing, where they spent the money on a project in ghana. That 14 year old kid who made the documentary, their brother, is my best friend. seriously, we go to school together. anyway, i'd donate to their project. |
