If its an ATM then there is a camera on it so I would probly not take it unless there was no one around and you pretended to get money out and took that money instead. I dont htink you could get caught...maybe |

depends how much it was,and how broke i was-if it was a huge sum then maybe hand it back. if not well people shouldnt be stupid enough to leave the money in the machine anyway. |

Depends on the amount. If it was 10 bucks I wouldn't see the point in tracking the person down. If it was any more I'd definately try to find out. Note - don't give it to the police, people never seem to go there to claim it. I'd try the bank. |

LIARS for whoever said they'd turn it in.... HOW in the world will a bank know who the rightful owners are???? I would take it.. UNLESS i saw the person who last used it, and then of course I'd give it to them... otherwise, finders keepers losers weepers |

Considering how many atm's have secuirty cameras on them these days i would turn it in. I would honestly turn it in without a camera too because what if that was your money and someone else was about to take it? how would you feel? |

I would definitely be tempted to take it but I would be thinking that cctv would see me take it and they would track me down and i would have to pay it back! |

I'd check with a lawyer. If an ATM gives you too much cash and you keep it - that's the same as stealing I understand. In that instance I'd bring it straight back! But if some drunk guy went to the ATM and staggered away with half his withdrawl and left the other half hanging out the dispenser - I say it's mine! |

I wouldn't go near it. They all have cameras recording those ATMs. I would probably tell someone in the bank about it, but not go near it or touch it. Who knows what the story might be. |

This is by the way a recurring dream I have. Money kinda slipping out of the cracks here and there in an ATM. Ah well.. just a dream.
But i DID find 80 bucks on a sidewalk once outside a bank.
I am pretty sure I turned it right back into the bank. Pretty sure. |

It depends how you feel about it. If you're generally a good person, then you probably wouldn't take it, but some people might be inclined to do so.
It is the customer's loss anyway, but not the bank. Of course, you might suffer some sort of consequence if you are a customer there and they get you on camera. |
