It would be easy, if you could make a big purchase like a house. That's wouldn't be dumb shopping at least. |

Ahh... I would go to buy diamonds. Then you can trade your diamonds back in for cash after the guy with the gun is gone! It can probably take around 10 minutes. |

Clearly, the thing to do would be to buy a liquid asset such as gold. |

Could i spend it yeah i sure could i would buy a million dollar house. And i wouldn't worry about being shot because the shooter probably forgot to load the gun. |

I would go straight to Tiffany (or some other high end jeweler) and buy a few hundred thousand worth of jewelry. Then I'd move to another jeweler and do the same thing until I'd spent the whole million.
This way I can re-sell the jewery later and spend/invest the money as I choose (and according to my own timeline). |

I would buy all the land, islands and vehicles possible -- old, expensive trucks/classic cars and some brand new harley nightsters to play on my island with |

i would buy a bunch of cars at a dealership...i think that would be about the fastest way to go about it. all that those car dealer guys want is your money. the paperwork could probably be done with and paid for in under an hour if you were that eager..hell they would just do the paperwork for you if you bought that many cars in that little time... then of course when i was done with it i would sell pretty much every single car because i'm not really into them, and have a decent amount of money left over to put away and save. :D |

Talk about deja vu, I wrote a paper on this for English 103. But, I had 24 hrs. Lucky for me I have loads of options, houses, cars, trips heck I'll come back in debt. I did in my paper. I went by helicopter to NYC shopped til I dropped and flew back. I owed 11, 390.00 on a diamond ring. Oops. Lord, you could invest that much in one minute. |

It's way too easy to spend a mere million in an hour. There are so many choices, gun at my head or not. Maybe I'd bribe the gun holder not to shoot me in return for half a million. May be I'd hire the gun holder to bump off some nasty people I know. Afterall, I might as well take the opportunity of of having contact with a hitman. Maybe I'd hire him or her to rob a bank and make us both even richer. So many choices and so little time. |

I would buy the biggest castle in the world, and then buy a lot of corporations , and some expensive vehicles, and priceless antiques. |

Okay, so first thing is firts, a bullet proof vest, right? ;)
Secondly i would buy a car (or two) That could possibly come up to a million :) then i could sell them later and take my time with the money!
Maybe a house, but maybe id already be shot by the time the paper work gets sorted? |

I guess it is possible to spend that much money in an hour because you can go to Costco or something and buy all the expensive things. I would buy computers and stereo systems because later I could sell it on Ebay. I guess being shot would not play a factor at being a 'dumb' shopper because it is a matter of life and death. |

They made a TV show on a similar premise. It was called "The Millionare". The simplest way would be to enter a medium sized store, and purchase the whole inventory, up to one million. |

I would make a tax-deductible donation (not a "gift") to Modest Needs. Heck, I'd probably end up donating whatever the deduction would've been from the original donation at the beginning of the next fiscal year. |

It is but it isn't as easy as one would think. I once had to spend 5 grand in a day, and I would have thought this would have been a dream, but it was a lot harder than I thought it would be (but I did have limitations on what I could spend it on). I barely made it.
But to me there are 2 easy ways to spend this, all of which would be good investments. And I'd want to use it as an investment, so I then could get it back and then do with it as I wanted, not just blow it! Besides my luck that would be the one time I get on a super hot streak at a casino and end up dead from winning lolol.
I'd either buy Gems (diamonds or precious stones), or gold. All could be bought in a store that wholesales, (or preferably the Jeweler's building in any major town), or phone call, and later easily sold. My first thought was real estate but that transaction couldn't be done in an hour legally. I also considered jewelry but you lose so much in value, because of the huge markup on jewelry. And I think the being shot part would make me a smart shopper and not take any risks!
I'd like to check this out and see if I'm right...so you bankrolling??!!!! hehehe |

I would get on the phone and buy a commercial note for that amount and it would be transfred to the bank right then and there for collateral.... gone.... then later down the line I would sell the note to some one else and get my money back....lol |

I'd make huge bets at the biggest casino in the world. They have music, fancy drinks that you've never heard of, and women everywhere watching you toss money like a king. |

Why did you say "in a hour" twice, when any 4th grader who makes anthing above a C knows it's "in an hour"?
Sorry, but within the context of this question, that sort of jumped out. |
