I would buy as much land as possible, build pens and enclosures, and open an all species no kill shelter. It would provide low cost or no cost spay/neuter, low cost veterinarian care, etc. No species of homeless or abandoned animal would be turned away for any reason. Unadoptable animals would stay there forever...Much like the Best Friends shelter in Utah. |

According to the Holy Bible, King James Version, From the book of Malachi chapter 3 verses 8, 9, and 10, we are to pay 10 percent of our income to the Lord, Jesus Christ. This would be to the church to which we attend regularly. Preferably a Holy Ghost filled, Jesus Christ, God the Father, God the Holy Ghost believing ministry. Preferably a ministry that has an income tax number for charitable donations. The charitable donations number will be used for tax exemptions on your income-tax returns.
This way you will receive tax exemptions for your tax returns, according to the word of God you will receive blessings from heaven in the way of monetary, basic needs, and biblical protection from the wiles of the devil.
It is for this reason you see so many different ministries aggressively asking for money. You are the one who has the blessing. You pay your tithing to your home church.
Malachi 3:8, 9, and 10 says that you must bring your blessings to the Lord. Through your church. You will be blessed.
After you have done this the rest of the money is yours. Then you can give the next donations to which ever you wish to. |

I would give to an organisation that worked at stopping violence against women. One in particular is a small hard working group of women teaching other women to defend themselves against violence.
Wen-do. Women's self Defence
The course they offered my life. I feel so empowered. I wuold want any girl or woman around the world to have access to the same defence strategies. |

I don't play lottery because the majority of the funds will go towards a lawyer to keep people away from me. :) |

make a wish foundation and the national cancer society. Most of all the other charities take so much money to run that only a small portion of your donations ever make it to the cause you think your contributing to |

I guess the glib answer is me! I've never won a bean in my life! However as I do not do the lottery, that might explain it! If I had the opportunity I would give the bulk to 'World Vision' or Oxfam as they will put it to the best possible use - not only relieving poverty but teaching the people to look after themselves. Have you won the lottery? |

'Charity begins at home' so I'd look out for me and mine first but I would also donate to Cancer Research and Child Line. |

to be fair, it would depend on the amount I'd won. It might sound selfish, but first I'd have to prioritise and provide my own family with things which we don't have, our own home and to clear our debts so our future is no longer fraught with fear of which bills to pay next. If There was money to spare, I think it would be the British Heart Foundation(they helped my nan) Bernardo's( my great uncle was a Bernardo's baby) and Marie Curie Cancer(my grandfather would have gone there, but he died first) |

I would of course, give lots to medical research, with Cancer being #1. After that, instead of charities or organizations, (because I'm really NOT sure where my money actually goes) I think I would rather give to individuals who are in need. People I run across in every day life. |

I would start in my neighborhood, paying for college for my family and friends...paying off student loans for them, and I would give quite a bit to NPR--National Public Radio, as well as PBS. St. Jude's Children's Hospital of course...and I have always wanted to start my own charity...a homeless shelter, a women's abuse shelter, and a program to help pay for food, shelter, and medical bills for families with sick children...it breaks my heart that so many families have to choose between working day and night to keep up with their bills, or facing financial ruin to stay at their child's bedside in the hospital...I really want to help in that area above all others. |

Definitely Modest Needs - they're an awesome charity that helps people with financial "emergencies". They've helped me 3 times and I want to give back to it. Also, American Cancer Society and American Diabetes Foundation. |

I strongly recommend the Charities associated with the American Cancer Society. It is highly rated as to the ratio of Administrative costs compared to the amount of money that goes in to programs. In addition, scientists working on ACS projects feel that they are very close to some major breakthroughs. My favorite ACS charity is "Relay For Life" where people stay up all night and walk around a track. Last year, our local group managed to raise $67,000 in a community of on 28,000 people. |
