Don't put it in the bank!!! Go to school, and pay cash (they can't take back your education). Donate to charity. Open up a Swiss bank account. The possibilities are endless. Just don't let anyone know, and don't put it in the bank (or at least not all at once; there's a certain limit on the amount of cash that one can put into an account without waking up the Feds (I forgot how much)- you may want to look into that)).

Choice A is live you life in hiding. Oops, too late! You already posted this private information on an international public site. Probably better not choose this option anymore.
Choice B is to turn in the whole kit and caboodle. Not many people would do that, nor would anyone blame you for not doing it.
Choice C is simply to report it on your next tax return. You'll likely keep over half of it that way and won't have to spend your life in hiding. If you're going to choose C, be sure you don't spend any of it.
Choice D is to go get an attorney and give him half the money to hide the other half legally for you. |

Option 1: Turn it in. You won't get in trouble, as you did nothing wrong.
Option 2: Do nothing.
Illegal Option 1: Keep it, suppliment your income but never live beyond your means. If you raise suspicion, an IRS audit will be in your future.
Illegal Option 2: Launder it, then spend all you want. |
