So, you really have about a month, right? If you need the money by July 2nd?
Like some people have said, try a bake sale... set up a booth outside a local grocery store (ask the manager for permission first) and sell cookies (2.50 for four cookies, something like that). Also, put a jar on the table for donations and a sign explaining what you need the money for.
You can also sell cookies or brownies door-to-door, make sure you take a friend or a parent... there are some weirdos out there that you don't want to run into alone.
Mow lawns for 10 bucks an hour. Make sure you tell your customers what the money is for, go door to door and ask people if they'd like you to mow their lawn.
Yard sale! Get together your old junk and sell it. If you're a pack rat and you need to do some spring cleaning, you can probably make a couple hundred bucks... and it'l free up a lot of space.
Go to a local bank and see if they can support you in any way.
Figure out how to make really cool bracelets or necklaces or something (make sure you can make them without spending a lot of money) and sell 'em for like five bucks.
It's possible, if you're determined... you'll probably have to do ALL of the things that I mentioned and more. If you come up with a good amount of money, I'm betting that your parents will cave and help you with the rest. Don't mention that to them, though. Just make as much money as you can, and if you need help, then show them what you've accomplished and ask for them to spot you on the rest of it.
Good luck! |

Gather ur closest friends. Get some blueprints of the nearest big bank to your house. Walk by the bank and get the idea of the layout and all of the security camera locations. Also notice the shifts of the security guards and their habits. Find where the vault is located by asking for a look around or pretend you are a potential customer looking to store your family's diamonds in a vault. That should lead you to the vault and take notes of the type of lock that is used. That should be the same as the vault that stores the money. Finally look for quick getaway routes and find a person to be your driver. Get some big duffel bags, spray paint any water guns to black and maybe get some BB guns to use to threaten people to get the money vault. On the day of the robbery, handle your business swiftly and try to stay under the radar. Once your driver takes you and your friends to a far enough place, split and take your shares. You should have at least $200,000 for yourself. Then you're off to Washington!
LOL. Sorry you can't possibly do that. Getting $2,000 in a week is very very hard.
I don't think there is any chance for a teenager as young as you to get even close to that amount in such a short time frame. Get what you can with little errands and be happy with the money you get. Some of the ideas given by others here are good but don't expect any more than 600 dollars or so. I would recommend selling any item of yours that is worth a big sum of value and is not worth anything to you anymore. |

If you need the money by July 2nd then why do you have to get 2,000 dollars in one week? Don't you have a month and a half???
Anyway, I went to a similar program. I literally did raise about 2,000 bucks in two weeks: I wrote donation letters to local businesses, followed up and spoke to the owners of said businesses, got lots of money that way, wrote an article for my local newspaper asking for donations, asked clubs at my high school and the teachers union to donate, asked my mom's church to donate, and asked all my relatives as well. Its a ton of work but you literally could do it you just need to ASK your community and follow-up. I told everyone it would benefit the community becasue I brought the knowledge I gained home and they were really sold on it. You need to pitch and sell your reason for wanting to go most of all. |

Theres a lot of different things you could do. You could walk dogs or tutor at your old school or something. Or if you play an instrument my friend went around some neighborhoods playing her violin and made 300 dollars. |

Hmm...$2,000.
You're gonna need some help from your friends.
Tossing some ideas.
1. Car wash 2. Bake Sale 3. ask one of your artistic friends to draw a picture. silent auction. 4. You can never go wrong with babysitting. 5. Raffle off a toaster
So I like #2. It works especially well after church or something.
You should do #3 because it's easy
and oh yeah you should never go door to door begging. |

If you can even get a job in food service, you could only make that much in a month. |

Mowing lawns is the quickest way I know at 13. It's not the easiest job in the world but in 1 - 1/2 hours you can make anywhere from $25 to $40 depending on the size of the yard. Put flyers out around your neighborhood, or even leave them on front porches (especially if the yard looks overgrown) |

Uh.
Sounds a little out there.
Throw a fundraiser or something.
Guess the jellybeans works well, then just park outside the supermarket and tell them its for a good cause.
You might make a big contribution or something.
GOOD LUCK. |

Get selling some king of product like Avon, Mary Kay, or some kind of selling.
Also try raffles. If you do a good one like rafle an i-pod or any cool electronic. Lets say you sell 200 tickes of $5 each, You can get $1000 dollas and from that you pay for the i-pod which costs about $250. So you gey $750 dollars like that! Try to pick a cool electronic or something that people would actually buy a ticket. |

Suggest to your parents a payment plan. Maybe do odd jobs around the neighborhood and house this week and earn a ceratin percentage, then agree to pay in increments over time. |

bake sales, car washes, garage sales, maybe use ebay, babysit, mow lawns, water plants, house and pet sit, walk dogs, lemonade stand (bad but i'm thinking), sell homemade stuff like jewelary, those are all i can think of that a 13 year old can do. |

hmmm...your gonna need help from alotttt of people but i have ideas
first idea: you can go door to door with a couple of friends and ask for donations and say its for a good cause
second idea: make a lemanade stand and maybe also try selling homemade cookies.
third idea: i sell mexican candy at school and make about $50 a week

There are plenty of businesses that will sponsor young people for things like this. Just ask your parents to help you out with finding them, because, no offense, but no one is going to take a 13 y/o seriously when they ask for a sponsorship unless they have someone or something to back them up. |

I don't think there is really anyway. The only thing I can think of is having them pay, but then you pay them back over time. Good Luck |

Send letter to your family and friends telling them about your trip and why you would like to go so badly. They might pitch in some. If you need more do a car wash with some friends. Its kinda hard to do much since you're only 13. Hope you find something! |
