Well, you could see about McDonalds. It is one of the top employers. I got my first job there at 15, and has lead me on to jobs later down the road when competing against other applicants because of this job experience. Pay is not too good, but it was money coming in. |

A teen that actually WANTS to work!!! GOOD FOR YOU!! How about asking some neighbors if they need their dogs walked, or how about a restaurant cleaning dishes (getting paid under the table), I have heard of some restaurants doing this. My own 15 year old will be doing tree work with my husband. He will pretty much be raking & little things like that. You can check out some local landscaping or tree removal companies, or even ask your parents if they have any friends that own their own businesses that could use some help. Good Luck!! You seem drivin, I think you will be successful in life! |

I don't think a child should be given money by the family because they do work for the family. Now, if family members are giving the money as a gift, that's different and okay. Children are part of the family and so should not be paid to do household chores.
However, you could go around your neighbourhood asking if they are interested in any household errands, chores, and so forth. Lawn mowing, babysitting, washing the car, helping with spring cleaning, washing windows, washing the exterior of the house, painting fences. If you're in the northern hemisphere, spring is coming so these are all things that many people will engage in. |

Some grocery stores will hire baggers at 15. You could also try to get a job mowing a few neighbors yards in the summer, or ask your parents if they have any work for you to do. Also try your area park district - they often hire 15 year olds for jobs too.
You can also go through your closet and bring clothes you don't wear anymore to Plato's Closet - they have a website so you can check to see if there's one near where you live. They will give you cash for in style, name brand clothing that is in really good condition. |
