Im 16! and NEED Your Help?
Im soon to be 16 and would like to buy of Ebay!
Are you able to use a debit card? if so how do i obtain one?

Cowgirl Up
Yes. Do you have a bank account, like a checking account? You just go to your bank and ask for one. Or you can look online to see where you can buy a Prepaid Visa.

I think you need to be 18 to buy off of Ebay and you can obtain a debit card from your bank. Phone them and go in for an interview and they will be able to sort somethign out the may only offer you a Visa Electron card but you can still use this to purchase thingsAND you won't get into debt with a debit card! You can only spend what is in your account it is not the same as a credit card!!!

ok, i actually did this last november when i was 16. go to HSBC, and as for a debit card account (i believe its called a flexi saver), you will need your passport and some other ID. Shouldnt take long to do and then after about a week they will send you your debit card, which will be a SOLO card. Then go to ebay, make an account (dont even need a card to do this, but will need to declare you are 18, i did and nothings happened so it doesnt really matter).

Then go to paypal, register, you will need the card. Best thing to do is verify your account, which is very simple and they provide step by step walkthroughs.

Once you have both set up you are ready to buy and sell. Easy as that. Also great for amazon and other online retailers.

you can also use a visa electron card

ebay can become addictive and it's very easy to keep bidding so just be very careful!

seek advice from a senior officer.

ballerinacaz
I think it would be easier for you to get a paypal account... you do have a bank account don't you??

Jewel
Thats why parents come in useful sometimes, they do know how to advise their children about opening the first bank account.

Do go to your bank when you start earning, they will advise you all you want.

You can buy using a debit card but most people use PayPal for on-line purchases or a credit card.

Ylang-Ylang
Apply for a bank account with debit card.

You need to be aged 18 or over i think.

Don't do it; its addictive.

Why not use a friend / families account with their help ?

Or try the 'Trading Assistants' , but instead of their help on selling your items, ask them for assistance in buying off eBay.
