To be honest the CSA are pretty useless. They delay payments and sometimes payments get lost. I think the government has realised how bad they are and are going to scrap the system and replace it with something better.
In the mean time you may be better off getting a job yourself and getting a baby sitter or sending your son to nursery. That way you won't be dependent on other people who don't seem to be there for you at the moment. |

yep the c.s.a. will help. |

Get help from a Social Worker, or ask someone from the CSA to help you to enforce his payments.
Are you asking for advice or for money ?
And how old is your son ? |

The CSA website may be a good place to start. Email them - and make the email high priority and ask them to get your money from your ex. No response - email then and ask them again and send a copy to you MP. Keep emailing them - keep sending copies to your MP. I think you will get the email address from the Theyworkforus website - also useful for checking what your MP does or doesn't do. The Guardian link will give you the email address of your MP too and you can email them and moan!!! My website has a Human Rights page - check out the benefitsandwork site - may be some useful info on there. As a one parent family - you should be able to earn a little too - but watch how it may effect other benefits like housing and council tax benefits. Despite, the Human Rights Act, The European Convention on Human Rights and International law. They tend to breach all your human rights by keeping you in that £53 a week poverty trap - with no way out. When they knock your door asking for your vote before the next general election - ask for their promises in blood! lol |

the CSA are useless a*se holes! I pay maintainance through them, and they delay payments for up to 2 weeks to my child's mum for no apparent reason! They're up sh*t creek but do have the power to take money from your ex's salary when he gets paid... it just means they need to do some work so keep chasing them to do this.
Good Luck! |

Wow that's only $100.00 a week in U.S. Currency - not many here in the U.S. can survive on that money. I say find out if your government has a plan to garnish wages through your ex-husband's job. I know here in the U.S. we have child-support agencies that will work for you if a spouse is not paying his required committment. You may be able to get reimbursed for back child-support.
Do you have a job? If not you might want to start looking. Hopefully you are close to your family were you can leave your son with your mum and dad while you seek employment. You might need to get a couple of jobs until you get your support issue resolved.
Perhaps the pair of your (ex and yourself) can meet some place and discuss why he is failing to pay the full amount. It could be that he's struggling as we...hence only the 53(pounds).
Talk to your ex first...if he refuses then seek the government agency to help you.
Good Luck and God Bless. |

This may sound rough but someone has to say it "get a job". Seriously, don't wait for someone else to support you and yours. Do it yourself... and take his *** back to court.
