I have not heard of anyone going to jail over $2500 in bad checks. call those people and arrange a payment plan. get a job. otherwise while you are in jail you can think about how to be more responsible when you get out. |

Enter into a payment plan. The judge will be lenient nd give you probation if you are trying to pay. |

Gee Good Luck, If you have a car sell it. you don't want to go to jail.
Maybe ask to borrow some money from someone. But make sure you pay them back. |

Call the ag's office. Maybe you can work out a payment plan with them. Also go to a day labor place that pays cash. Also try donating plasma. It's not much money but it's some and it helps people too. I don' recommend pawning anything. Most counties would rather extend your due date than putting you in jail and costing the state more money. |

So you wrote checks for which you didn't have money in the account? That was your big mistake. Better talk to your dad and see if he will let you borrow it. |

Talk to the bank or the companies that you owe money to. Usually in cases of hardship you can make arrangements to repay over time (even out of un-employment).
BTW - Arrested for what?
If it's a "hardship" situation they won't charge you with fraud, unless You knew you would be laid off and intentionally wrote the checks for cash or merchandise You refuse to return...

Huh? Either you had the money in the bank when you wrote the checks to cover them or you didn't. If you wrote more checks than what you had, welcome to jail. What does getting laid off make a difference? If the money was already there (which it should have been), being laid off doesn't subtract the money already there.
Your dad - the COP - should have taught you better than that.

Bail Bondsman?? 2500 isn't that much money - do you have an uncle you can borrow from? borrow against your car from a bank...... apply for a loan at the bank. You're problem is you need it FAST! You are going to pay a high interest price for it - maybe a credit card???? girlfriend with a credit card? just a few suggestions..... good luck! |
