its pretty good, but if something really serious happends then i could cost alot more then that.
i mean my brother just broke his arm and it cost somewhere from 2000 to 3000 dollars for the cast and the xrays.
the fund really depends on how many people you have the fund for...if its just for you, then its perfect.
hope i helped!!! =) |

yes i would say so but every year you should put a litttle more in just in case or maybe even every pay check only if you can afford to put more in |

i would say YES. depends on your expenses. you should have an emergency fund = to or > than 6 months of total monthly expenses.
Though these days, id consider just buying gold and sitting on it til 2009 is thru. |

Depends on your monthly expenses. You should have at least 3-6 months worth of expenses in your emergency fund. So if it's $3000 or less/month, that's a pretty good amount. If it's over that, then you probably should sock away more. |

In my credit and finance class, our prof. told us that you need to add up all of your total bills and charges that occur on a regular basis (minus anything that you can go without - like cable) for the year and that is what your emergency fund should be. |
