Average income is under $50,000 (http://www.visualizingeconomics.com/2006/08/15/average-income-in-the-united-states/)
So, yes 200,000 is a great deal of money.
In Canada as well. In Canadian or US dollars ... they're pretty much equal now. |

According to the GOP, it's lower middle class.
In the real world, it's lower wealthy to way-upper middle-class.
Canadian dollar is almost the same as the US dollar now. |

I know if you earn more than 150k a year, that puts you in a whole different tax bracket for filing taxes. So yeah, I'd say that's a lot.
Canadian money is worth slightly more, so in Canada that's even more money. ^_^ |

xforalways.

That is a HUGE amount.
In England, the average is like £30,000 a year. |

Canadian and US dollars are running neck and neck in value these days.
I would hope a person could be in good shape with that amount of money every year. You're not doing something right if that's not enough to live well on. |

Considering the average person with a BA probably doesn't make more than $80k tops? It's quite a lot. That definitely puts you near the top of the tax brackets. Canada's dollar is near parity with the American one, so it's just as much over there. |

Yes.
I am from the UK. The average wage here is £23,000. In dollars that's about $ 43,000.
I really think the Canadian school system needs changing if you really don't know the answer to that question. |
