Depends on where he lives and what lifestyle he's comfortable with. If that's a net amount, then he darn sure ought to be able to do pretty much what he wants. Even if that's a gross amount, if he is careful about where and how he lives, he shouldn't have a problem. |

I would say that it's perfectly adequate. It depends where you are of course.
1 bed apartment $2000 (in Beverley Hills) ... give or take $500 - could be less
Food (if you cook at home) $500, say.
Gas, electricity maybe $100 (again, it depends where you are)
Water (included in the apartment cost)
The big expenses are initially for furniture &c., so build in payments for credit.
Then I guess you have a car and will need something for gas, tax, insurance and so on. Don't forget your own insurance, too ... medical, personal and so on.
Do some research, factor in everything and you will find that you can maybe afford a beer or two. |

Maybe. You need to figure out your expenses. Rent, car payment, insurance, food, utilities, entertainment, etc. Once you figure that out you will get a better feel if that will be enough. |
