if you're saying that it gives you 42000 yes it is. my wife and i have done it when i was in the military. it may not be the most comfortable and you may not always have what you want. but as far as will it cover what you need? the answer is yes if you make smart decisions. though it also depends on where you are geographically. in va, and nc yes lol |

42,000 dollars is plenty to live on. I use to be able to make it on just 23,000 dollars. You will need to make a cash flow chart and stick to it. If you want something expensive... you will need to save for it. The thing that always put myself into trouble was overspending on random things. A bite to eat at a restaurant, christmas presents, travel, etc...
I have a couple in my family that makes it on just 38,000 between the both of them, and they are doing awesome. They just bought a boat and paid it in full... NO LOANS.
Just be careful with what you have and there will be no limitation other than time!!! |

Depends on where you live and how you do it. If you live in Kentucky, like myself in the part I live in then yes it would be enough. If you live somewhere like California then no because their expenses are much more than ours. |

It would be fairly tight, you are spending more in housing (40%) then what is deemed affordable (30%), however, I think its doable as long as you cut out most of the extras. |

What do you mean is that enough? $42000 is middle class income for two people. If you really want to get rich, you both should live on only $20000. Put down $10,000 for a down payment on a business loan. You're left with $12,000 for savings (including emergency savings). |

If you will live in the Philippines thats for sure... You will have 1.47 million. You may not live the most comfortable life there, but you will still live an easy life. |

depends on your location and your spending habits. before i was laid off i thought i couldn't live on any less than 40,000 for myself but i've been making due on unemployment which is amounting to around 1200 a month. so with some serious changes i have been able to live within my means. if this is a cut for you guys yes you can make due if you really want to. =D |
