It depends on where you live. For Sarasota, Miami Beach, Coral Gables, etc, I would say no. If you live in the center of the state, Inverness, I would say yes. |

It depends on what field of work. For the most part wages are considerably less in Florida compared to the same job up north however there are some exceptions most of which a degree is required (lawyer, doctor etc). Also some sales fields are quite lucrative no matter whether it's in Florida or elsewhere. I live in Inverness, north central Florida near the gulf coast. I'm in sales and I don't make 50k a year but when I lived up north (Mich) I made more. |

It just depends on what type of job - try a salary wizard - it will give you a good idea if that's fair compensation for whatever profession you will be engaged in - good luck! |

In central Florida it's decent, cost of living can be expensive, though. South Florida, not so much. You're close to Miami, St. Pete, etc, where it's very expensive to live. |
