Check out local distribution centers in your area. Typically they operate 24 hours a day, so they can work with your schedule. A college student might mean to them someone who has above average intelligence. And some of those jobs will pay $12 or better. I'd walk right into one of those places and ask for an application. Don't show up in clothes that would embarrass your parents, either. |

It might not be a great salary but you're showing that you're not lazy. Just believe in yourself. |

I guess so (cause it covers your bills but barely), but you could probably do better depending on where you live. That;s just barely above min wage I think. I'd try to get a job waiting tables where you can get tips... think about this a tip on a 50$ dinner is 10$!! That's why college kids wait tables.
Also don't forget they are withholding tax too, even if you won't owe federal income tax, the social security and medicare will be like 8%, so at 8.25 and hour you really only get to keep 7.59$ at most. |

$8.75 is minimum wage in Canada. It just went up from $8.25.
40 hours X $8.25 = $330 then don't forget tax deductions (call it 1/3 = $110) so then you have $330-$110=$220.
You decide. |

$8.25/hr equals a little more than $17,000/year if you work a 40 hour work week. I believe that's below the poverty line, so it's not a great wage. But if you're a college kid and you have minimal bills, you'll get by. You're not likely going to find anything more than that if you're a student anyway. Good luck! |

The federal minimum wage is $7.15. So I would say $8.25 is adequate. |

Dear Ramo,
Go apply for a security officer position. You may say I dont want to be a rent a cop but alot of these positions pay between 12 to 16 dollars an hour. I am a customs protection officer and I can truthfully say its good money with overtime and benefits. Why work yourself ragged. Good luck with your job! |

If you don't like your job, then why do it? Get a job that you enjoy more. It barely covers the bills anyway, and I (a 16 year old) make more than you, so chances are you can find something better for your time. I don't really have any suggestions for a possible job, just try for the management positions, and always come to work with a good attitude and work ethic. It's good that your working during college, don't take out a loan! That is a horribly fiscally irresponsible thing to do, and a lot of people do it, because its the easy way out! |

I wouldn't get out of bed for $8.25 per hr.That is a bad wage. |

If your a college student I wouldn't keep a job at $8.25. If you can finish college you will make much more money. If you need money while in school you can get a low intrest college loan. |
