It depends on where the job is and what the responsibilies are. If you manage 50 assistant vice presidents in New York City, it's a pitiful salary; but if you collect garbage in Modesto CA, it's pretty good.

It depends on where you live and what the typical cost of living is. It also depends on how much experience you have. In NYC, it wouldn't be considered very good. |

in most cases yes but it depends on what you do |

Absolutely, unless you have very inflated expectations. Even for a big family it would work. It's about twice what we make and I we're doing just fine.
If you live in Los Angeles, I would call it decent money and not good money. Housing there is so much! |

It's great unless your spending habits are like a debutant or you have to be a prostitute to earn it. |

$80,000 a year is a few bucks short of twice the "average American family"'s income of $42K/year, so I guess that's a "yes"... |

I would take it if i can take Monday morning off. Also I would like tow hours lunches. And I do want to get out early to miss the rush hours traffic. And I would need Friday after noon off to get ready for the week end.
And i want a parking spot with my name on it, and a window |

I could live comfortably on $80,000 a year. So, yes, it's good. |

No.
I suggest you to go back to school to get an MBA. (You will make at least $100,000.00 USD) |

Um, not really, if you're comparing it to what bill gates makes every minute. |
