Really depends what you want to spend it on... a single lump sum of one million pounds could provide for you (or a small family) in a manner so that you would never have to work again... that said, you could just as easily blow it in a year... depends on your tastes and wants.
Two bed house outside of London shouldn't cost more than £150,000. A nice car, furniture and bits and bobs brings it up to £200,000.
Leaves £800,000, which should yield a minimum of £20,000 a year income (this is a very low estimate, should be more!)... which is enough to live on with a part time job for your sanity if nothing else...
So, if you never have to work again means you have a lot of money, which I personally would think it does, then yeah it is a lot of money! If on the other hand you want to know how much bling it will buy you, then I really don't know or in fact, couldn't care less. |

Depends how you spend and what you are like with your money.
if i got that much i would spend it wisely, give some to my family and buy a few nice things, but not go over the top |

Depends what you want, it is enough to buy you:
- 4 bedroom house (£350,000)
- Modern Sports Car (£60,000)
- Villa in Spain (£300,000)
- £290,000 spending money.
So I wouldnt complain lol. |
