You are not alone, in fact you are not too badly off.
At least you have pay days.
Spend your money wisely, don't waste money on ready made meals, when you may be able to prepare your own at half the cost.
Try not to borrow money, this leads you down a slippery slope, that is hard to get out of.
Stay positive, live within your means, and do not be envious of anyone who has more than you.
You are you, live with what you have, and things should be OK..
Will be thinking of you, just you take care. Money is not everything, good health is a top priority, so look after that please, just for me ! |

Have been there before, so I sympathise. Now with careful budgeting I have almost cleared my debts and will finally be debt free for the first time since being a student.
Although this might sound harsh, its hopefully a reassurance that you can get yourself back on your feet too. It just takes a little time and effort, and major belt tightening.
He he Blicka - Raman Noodles bring back so many student memories. Cheers for that, it'll keep me giggling all day. |

Yes. Im skint right now but thats because im a student. I get student loan but tend to go mad with it, and buy lots of things. Im trying to be more careful with my money and budget.
You get paid on friday, so you have to stick it out and wait for the day to come. It will come sooner than you think. Make sure you dont get into another mess. Its horrible being skint. I need to find a way to win the lottery!
You need to keepa regular check on the money you have in your account. You need to know what your outgoings are and how much money is coming in. Try not to waste your money on expensive things like clothes, makeup, going oout, etc. Sometimes you have to cut back on luxuries. Im sure there are loads of people in the same situation or worse. |

I wouldn't be skint if I could get my money from my bank earlier! I opened three accounts with Alliance and Leicester last year so my friend, a single mum who recommended it to me, would get 50 pounds (I think I got 50 pounds too but I can't remember whether I really got it). The main one (the high interest one) has now matured and I decided to close the accounts because I hardly used them. I gave the bank instructions on the phone on the 4th of June and I still haven't got my money back (it's already July 16 today!!!). When I asked them on the phone earlier this month, they blamed it on the postal strike. I've checked with the post office which assured me that the strike shouldn't have caused any problem. I am really fed up with banks behaving like this. I hate to think that our hard-earned cash is somewhere earning interest but it isn't mine. I would be going on a holiday soon and I desperately need the money back! I think nowadays even banks can't be trusted anymore. Once your money is there, it seems not to be yours anymore. You just have no control over it when it's earning interest to line someone else's pocket, leaving us ordinary folks poorer and poorer. |

I used to, its pretty brutal, when you can't even go into work because you don't have enough money for the train fare, and so have to miss a whole days pay. Some weeks if I found a fiver down the back of the couch or in a bag I hadn't used for while it was a genuine cause for celebration.
Keep your chin up and don't lose focus on the long term project of getting yourself permanently out of this cycle. |

Don't take out another payday loan. Start a basic budget to show where your income and expenses are. If you don't do this, you CANNOT be financially successful.
If you aren't willing to spend the 15 minutes it takes to do this, you'll end up in the situation again. Just hold out til Friday and eat raman noodles.
Good luck! |
