Is it legal to get a loan from another country?

Anyone can lend you money so no problem there. As long as you are honest to the lendor about your residence then who lends you money is between you and them, nobody else. Only thing to be wary of is that other countries lendors might not be as regulated as they are in the UK. |

Obtaining a loan from another country is like buying any other goods or services. Furthermore, a restriction on the flow of capital from one country to another would be an infringement of the competition laws governing the EEC. Corporations and governements "shop around" for the cheapest money all the time. If they can do it legally then why can't you? |

Why would you want to get a loan from another country? American currency is not worth anything in other countries. Check out the exchange rates: www.euros2dollars.com |
