yes, you can get an under 16's debit card from lloyds TSB. it allows you to take out money at an ATM, buy online, and buy things at shops with your card. it is not a credit card so it does not allow you to spend money you don't have, but you can spend all the money in your account. i have one and its perfect.just go into a Lloyds TSB and ask them about it. |

im also 15 and live in uk. i have a debit card with halifax. its called the halifax expresscash debit card.
i can put money on it easily and spent it just as easily :)

YES !!!! im 13 and i have one i think on HALIFAX tho you get a Blue Card and can use in the Hole in the Wall. Go to Halifax and ask, and its FREE!!! |

If you can get a checking account at a bank that has debit cards available than you should be able to get one there. Prepaid card is also a safe and secure way for a young teen to carry money. Walmart carries Mastercard logo prepaid cards with a 5 dollar monthly fee. |

i'm 15 to and my bank said to be able to have a card you have to be 16 and have valid license so i could only get a savings instead of a checkings and i couldnt get it in my name either but in my dads |

You are entitled to savings accounts and thus cards that will gain you access to your saved money. Try Alliance in Leicester and the Post Office.
Otherwise, Barclays Bank issue younger customers with Visa Electron Debit Cards however as you are under 16, your assets need to be managed by a parent or guardian. |

Usually, the banks like to look at how responsible you are with money before giving you a card. I think the only card you'll be able to get for your account is one for the cash machine, to check your balance. |

I hope not, because there are so many tempting things to buy online that you can easily get in debt and cause yourself and family great hardship. Of course you may be extremely sensible and disciplined, but if I were you I wouldn't put temptation in my way! |
