Be innovative -- My grandchild offered to pull neighbor's weeds for a price of 5 cents per weed, and got a few takers.
When I was a kid in Portland Oregon in the 50's I collected hangers from neighbors and sold them to the local dry cleaner for a penny a piece. That's 8100 hangers :-)
Consider having a lawn sale of your unwanted things.
Washing windows could be a big money maker.

Sure! Most people reward hard work and honesty. Here a some jobs you might try in the neighborhood:
a. Babysitting
b. cutting grass / edging / gardening / raking leaves
c. cleaning garages/sheds
d. Painting / staining fences
e. Painting house numbers on curbs
f. Taking garbage cans to curb (adds up if many neighbors)
g. Washing cars / outside house windows
h. Dog/Cat-sitting (I paid a youngster to feed my fish when
away)
i. walking a neighbors dog or simply brushing all that hair out
j. Helping with sweeping / vacuuming / laundry
k. running errands / carrying tools
l. cleaning up after someone else
If you live on a farm:
a. milking cows / feeding chickens / picking vegetables
b. etc
The point here is look for opportunity and make it happen. Don't let someone else beat you to it. |

Yes sure it is....there might be many jobs you can do till then.. babysitting for one.. Then don't forget that you might get some money on your birthday and Walmart does have lay away.. But getting a job is your best bet.. |
