Finding a talent and promoting it has taken many people from the bottom to the top. What you learn in the process is what keeps you at the top.
Begging does not develop character. Wisdom - knowledge and persistence will take you everywhere.

I think it all depends on how much debt you have and how many people are willing to loan you a dollar. Depends on the situation. I couldn't though. If you just owe like 10$ then I'm sure it would be fairly easy ( and more than fairly tacky) to ask people to contribute to the "I'm broke give me hope fund!" Oh well, what ever floats your boat. Try taking on an extra job, or saving money if all else fails. |

no its what homeless people do everyday....why not just save an extra dollar from your pay since it is your debt....why do you want someone else to pay it? |

some kid put an ad in the paper one time and asked for everyone to send him a penny and he paided for a huge chunk of his college that way. i wouldn't suggest it though because if i remember right he had some legal troubles with it. |

This is an old idea, and a very poor one. This idea is somewhere between a chain letter and begging. There is no reason that perfect strangers should give you money - you have to at least offer them some sort of product or service in exchange.
Basically you're just continuing the bad habit of trying to get something for nothing that got you into debt in the first place. Resolve to begin a new habit of earning everything you receive through hard work.
Call the American Consumer Counseling Center - unlike a lot of those "debt solution" places, this is a non-profit and won't take your money. They can give you some great counseling and advise you on the best options for your particular situation.

I would start small and maybe ask for a dime first and then see what changes needed to be made to my approach (i.e. like maybe getting a more dirty hat, or more worn out shoes, or maybe not washing for a month).
Best of luck and see you at Starbucks. |

No it is not a new idea some people have web sites just to ask people for money to get out of debt they had a story about it on the news and a few people who have done have been on talk shows |

It's possible but you aren't going to find very many people willing to contribute to your cause because most of us have our own debt and if we are going to donate money to a cause it would be something worthwhile. It's a novel idea but I don't think it's a new idea. |
