Yes it is possible, if you have overdraft protection....but you will pay a fee. |

Unless it is broken it won't let you withdraw more than you have. If you do withdraw more than you have you will be hit with a charge by your bank for doing so. |

wouldnt the obvious thing to do is go and try. You might want to call your bank and see if they have a cash advance option. the rates are pretty low in comparsion to an exceeding available funds charges |

usually you can only take money out of an ATM in increments of $10, so you are going to have to take out $30 if you need $22. Depends on your bank, my bank (US Bank) lets you , but then charges ridicuouls overdraft fees. My old bank (UMB) wouldnt let you take out more than you had. You're gonna have to just try it.
You could go to a grocery store and buy something cheap, like a pack of gum, and then write a check for it and make the check for $25 over, most let you do that...so then they give you change back. |

As everyone has said, it does vary from bank to bank. If you have overdraft protection attached to your account, it will allow you to take money out up to the amount of that protection. For example, I think I have up to $500 in coverage on my account, so theoretically, I can go into the hole that much. I will, however, be charged $29 for each transaction that puts me in the red.
If you do no have OD Protection, chances are it will not let you. If it does, you will still have to pay back the $22 plus fees to get your account back in good standing.
You may want to talk to your bank about getting ODP on your account if you don't have it. It's often just a case of filling out a form and getting approved. I don't recommend overdrawing your account, but it can be useful. |

if you have overdraft protection you can get whatever your atm limit is per day depending on your bank, but with the overdraft protection you usually have to pay interest . |

The older atm systems would let you and your bank will charge you $30+ as an overdraft fee. I've been in these situations often so no judgement here. Also, you can't take $22 from an atm, usually it has to be in multiples of 5, 10, or 20. |

First of all, I live in Canada, so I'm not too sure if this will help at all but what the heck...
I have a chequing account that lets me overdraw $10.00.
The reason it lets me do this is because I obtained a $10.00 overdraft protection. Other than that, I would be limited to withdrawing up to only what my account can sufficiently provide.
Also, even if I had sufficient funds...$22.00??? Do the ATMs in your area let you withdraw such exact amounts? Here it's strictly in multiples of $20.00. |

You can take out increments of $20, not $22 exactly...but either way, you will be hit with an overdraft fee. Even if you have overdraft protection, they will charge you. It's just not as large of a charge as you'd typically get without having overdraft protection.
Only do it if it makes sense financially...
