I wouldn't. I use my credit card then pay it off. You can dispute charges on your credit card and it won't tie up your funds for other things. |

I do (but only at trusted sites like for my car insurance or my phone bill) and haven't had a problem. |

It can be very safe and it can be very dangerous. Make sure that when you pay your bill the site is secure. You can tell when a site is secure when there is a little yellow lock on the page. Depending on the browser you are using it will be in one of 2 places. For most browsers the lock is in the lower right hand corner, right at the bottom of the page where it says Internet. If you have Internet explorer 7 then look for it up by the address bar. If there is not lock on the page then do not send ANY personal or financial information, even if the page says it is secure. Chances are someone could get a hold of your information. |

I do that all the time and I have no problem with it. I don't mind using credit card to pay it...but I don't like paying interest later. So to me, it is better to use debit card. You can always ask to bankers in your bank, they should be able to help you for sure. |

Yes, I've been doing it for years with no problems. I would advise that you go to each company's website and use their service rather than use an all-purpose site like "paymybills.com". Some places charge a little extra but I feel it's worth it. I do more than half of my bills like this and actually it annoys me now to have to write checks for the others and buy stamps! |

I have been doing it for years, and as of yet have not had a problem. Many people are wary of it because the money comes directly out of your account. |

Sure just make sure the site you are on is hacker safe. You will see the logo usually in the top right hand corner of your screen when you go to pay your bill. If the site is not hacker safe then I would go through your bank to have automatic payment withdrawn from your account every month. This might be safer. |

I think you can also dispute a bill with your debit card...but check with your bank.
A safer bet may be to set up all your bills through your bank's 'bill pay' service. This way they are through your bank....you set up the payments...the bank pays the bill for when you schedule it.
It is very easy.
You can keep track of the bills pending and those paid.
And you don't have to give out your card number on-line.
"Bill Pay" is usually free at most banks.
Double check. It is much easier, free and safer. |

It is perfectly safe to pay online and saves you money. There should be a paddlock that comes up and say's your in a secure site. you are safer to pay online then to go into a store because in a store the information is sent over airwaves that are picked up by easy devisis cheap to purchase that can detect your information. online everything is done threw a line and not threw the air so your information is secure. |

When you are on a website, you look for the "https" then just the "http", "https" means it is security protected... That's just a precaution.. I also use my credit card, then, pay it off with my debit.. But online, i still dont trust, hackers these days are getting so high tech. Your choice of what to do! |

I do it all the time. With proper virus protection and a secure website, you should be safe. Sometimes I think it's safer than using it at the local grocery store! |

Yeah, it is safe. I do it every month for my car insurance and cable bill. Just make sure the website you are going to has the little lock on it. |

Just make sure in the address bar it says "https://..."
The "s" tells you it's a secure page. |

NO. If the card is compromised, the money will be gone from your bank account. With a credit card, you have levels of protection. |
