Is it safer to carry $5000 cash to work and school? rather than leave it at home?
i dont have a safe at home. i have 5 grand that i need to keep very safe for the next couple days. i dont want to deposit it into my bank account because it will look suspicious that i deposit so much. one of my family members recently got robbed of things from their home. so i am very scared to leave anything in my home right now, even though i do have alarm. i know most of you are going to say deposit it, but i am going to have to withdraw it in the middle of the weekend where the bank is closed so please dont mention the bank. just answer my question of whether it is safer to hide it or stash it somewhere at home or should i carry it to work and school and make sure i feel it at all times?

50 hundred dollar bills gets pretty bulky so dont carry them with you. If a parent of yours is still alive and you live near them I would give some of it to them to hold. If not then I would suggest leaving it in a good spot at home. One place a robber wouldnt be likely to look is in the freezer in a zip lock bag. In a airtight bag in the toilet head isn't too bad an idea either. Deposit it into the bank until Friday so thats two days you aint got to worry about the cash. You could put it in a zip lock bag and duck tape it into an air duct in your home. Also if you have a ceiling fan you could tape a few bills onto the back of each blade....just make sure not to turn the fan on while its up there though. If you have pets you could put the cash in a ziploc bag and hide it in their bag of food. Theres several other things you could do to hide it but i wouldnt keep the cash on me at all times. Good luck with finding what to do with your cash.

Hide it at home & in your freezer. Don't carry it on your person, as the odds of losing it are great.

I would at first say, don't carry that much cash. Leaving it at home would be the better option, but since you fear that someone will steal it....well, that's out too. Belive me when I say, a thief will know all the typical places to look, and probably those not so typical.
If a bank is out, I suggest that you get a cashier's check made out to you, or get traveler's checks from a reputable company. The cost is small and the peace of mind is....hehe, priceless! By using the the suggested means, if the cashier's check, traveler's checks get lost or stolen, the monies can be be replaced.

Since you seem to be going psycho because if this decision, then I would imagine that you would worry even if the money was safe at your house. I say tape the money to your chest and it will never leave your sight.

i dont think u should carry it with you all the time because u could easily lose it you should stash it somewhere like in an attic ,or shoebox in the closet or ur basement!!!

Stash it at home or hide it in a friend's place, but please don't carry it around with you, you are begging for trouble. Good luck.

It's definetely safer to leave it at home. I know you don't have a safe at your house, but there are other places you could store it. You could put it into a few airtight ziplock bags and then put it in your toilet head.

Stash it at home. Put it in a bag and tape the bag underneath a dresser or night stand.

I prefer a credit union. It is not wise to keep that much cash on you, or keep it at home.

**HATE ME NOW**
do u have any frinds that are real close
give some to him/her put some at home and some wiht u

Is it large and bulky? If not, definitely keep it on you. Don't tell ANYONE that you have it, though. Ever hear of getting mugged? It could happen. Don't leave the cash with anyone! Keep it with you at all times.

Don't tell anyone, and stash it at home some place where no one would ever think to look, under a floor board, behind a couple pictures, etc.
