Hi.
If you ring the company involved that you are going into a debt management programme, i think they have to accept as you will paying something back a month.
Here are 2 companies that give Free debt management advice but i would be quick:
1)http://www.e-financialaffiliates.com/track.aspx?cid=51&efid=3492
2)http://www.e-financialaffiliates.com/track.aspx?cid=33&efid=3492 |

Debt management companies will act as a middle man (usually for a fee) between you and the creditors and/or collection agencies. As far as I know, they cannot stop a suit that's in process. You will still have to appear in court. However, they can sometimes stop the interest from accumulating while you're active in their program.
To those that told you to "hide"... don't be ridiculous. Short of identity theft, death or disability... there's no reason to stiff the creditors that trusted you with their money. That's extremely poor judgment and there are long term repercussions. Good luck! |

Go to the CAB: the citizens advice bureau immediately. Do not go to debt management, get free honest advice from the people that deal with this all of the time.
Tell the bailiffs to ****off, do not invite them in; split what you can afford between all those that you owe, in regular payments and remember that NO has ever been taken to court for SLOW payment, just NON-payment.
Good luck, the CAB WILL help!!!! |

you dont need to go to a debt mangement company. talk to citizens advice
work out how much cash you have got coming in and work out what you can genuinely afford to pay out |

no you can go to the company whenever you please. if you can show that you are in the process of sorting your financial situation out, you can possibly avoid a ccj and the baliffs.either way if you're in that situation you do need some help. but be careful there are a lot of companies out there who are just interested in making money out of you then actually helping you. xx |

Well where the bailiffs are concerned, they have the power to remove anything of value from your home providing it is yours.
I don't think that they will listen to the fact that you are going to go to a debt management company. |
