I don't know if it is true or not but would not advise it. It would be a lot to lose if you got broken in to. Better to put it in the bank and get interest on it.

It's probably technically against the law but it's a bit like not practicing archery on Sunday being illegal - an obsolete law that has never been changed.

nobody can tell you what to do with your own money.

No it's not true. However, if you're under suspicion of money laundering, bank robbery or funding terrorism, you might have some explaining to do.

Sounds like a complete myth to me, there are no laws that restrict the amount of money that someone can have in their possesion, provided it was obtained legally in the first place of course!

It does beg the question though, why on earth would anyone want to keep this sort of money at home, surely a bank / building society is the best place to keep it, earning interest?

Are we talking money or Semtex

stephentherockman
100% not true :D

Mr Chops
Who told you that? Tony Blair?

SADGIT
If it is true then you can let me look after 50% of it for you interest free, so try me!!!!!
