Is life insurance advisable to have if one has no family?

It depends on how old you are now as Life Insurance premiums are based on the type of policy you want, your current health and your current age.
If you are young and single now, the premiums are at their cheapest rate. So if you plan to marry and have children in the future, buy your Insurance now - it's like you'll get a discount while you're young and healthy. (Unless you want to wait till the prices go up)
No Life Insurance Company will touch me now due to my bad health history over the past 10 years but I'm the one who's laughing......I already have all the Insurance I need and they can't take it away from me (provided I pay the premiums) - I bought it when I was healthy and much younger!!!!!!!!
I can guarantee you that next year you'll be 1 year older but I can't guarantee that next year you'll continue to have good health - can you?????????

Not really. Life insurance is for your survivors.

no point in paying your bills off if there's no one around to get stuck with them.

If you own a business or if any other entity is relying on your expertise or hard work to get income (e.g., aging parents), then yes. (If you are important to the business, then the partners/owners of the business are the beneficiaries.)

If it's just to give a commission to an agent, then no. (jk)

No. If you have no spouse or dependents, there is no reason to have life insurance.

I would say no. Life insurance is meant to provide for people that depend on your income (spouse, kids, etc). If it's just you, just keep saving money and don't worry about life insurance.

How old are you? If this is your situation: no family. no wife, no kids, no siblings no nieces, nephews and no prospects. answer: no insurance. Otherwise, consider whole life, taken in context with your personal wealth and earning potential for the foreseeable future. Also, ask yourself if you die, will someone feel obliged to finance your funeral. That answer too, may help you decide.

knowssignlanguage
if you have no parents or sibblings i guess not. life insurence is so you can have somoen burry you and to pay off your debts. If you just want the state to bury you and give then no you do not need one.

depends. if you think you wanna start a family, i'd get it. if you're one percent sure your not, then i'd forget it.

yes. if you don't have any family then who do you expect to buy you when you pass away. life insurance will cover that. You could donate any money left over to your favorite charity.

a small amount is advised to cover your final expenses and debts. thats it. so say 10,000.00 which would cost you maybe 20 bucks a year.

It all depends. Who would take care of funeral expenses on your behalf? While you wouldn't want to leave anyone a ton of money via life insurance (since you don't have dependents), you might want to leave enough to cover the funeral expenses. But if you have no one in particular who would be doing that on your behalf, then I say no, there's no need to have life insurance at all.

The purpose of life insurance is to replace your lost income if your die. If no one depends on you, there is less need for it. However, if you are young and may someday have a family, its a lot cheaper to buy it now.

NO, BUT BURIAL COVERAGE MAY BE A GOOD THING

life insurance is for people who have family members who may need that assistance from you once you're gone. i have a small life insurance but just enough to cover the funeral fees.

ticktock (9 days to go)
Well, if you have an estate, then yes, it would be advisable to get life insurance. If you have no living children, spouse or parents, it will go to your estate.
