Well, the only thing I can think of is a gift certificate to a grocery store...but even most grocery stores sell beer and wine, so that wouldn't GUARANTEE that she wouldn't buy alcohol. If you could find a grocery store that doesn't sell alcohol, that would be a prospect...but I can't think of any off the top of my head!
The only other thing I could think of would be for you to buy the groceries for her and take them to her, or order them online and have them delivered to her house/apartment.

there is no way to control a person from spending gift cards or food stamps solely on foods, they will sell them or trade them for alcohol and drugs at discount prices. Buy the food yourself, a day or two ration, and dont give her the receipt, she may try to return it. |

any fast food place sells gift cards, but depending on her age i would just tell her to get a job and buy her own food. keep in mind all the people that will get a $20 gift card for somewhere and sell it for $15 cash so keep that in mind. i would just go buy her food. or make her eat at your house every day |

You could buy her a gift card to a grocery store. Some grocery stores will not allow the use of a gift card for the purchase of alcohol, prescriptions or cigarettes. Check into that before you purchase one. If you can't find one like that in your area, you could always go and buy her some groceries yourself so that you know she's not spending anything on drugs and alcohol.
I also agree with the poster who said to give her no money and tell her to get a job, but being that she is your daughter, I'm sure that is hard to do. |

I'm sorry for your problem. If she lives nearby, you could go to the nearest supermarket and get a gift certificate which specifies it is for food products only. You could also take her a grocery bag of food staples.
If her problem is serious enough, she could always sell the foodstuffs for drugs or alcohol. Isn't there anyone who could help? Someone who could get through to her that she is throwing her life away? |

it is called a mastercard debit card. go to walgreens and get a starter for this debit card. when it comes thru the mail you can go back to walgreens and purchase a mastercard moneypack. load it either by phone or computer. and you can load it anytime you want by buying these moneypacks. |

I don't know where you are located but most of the grocery stores I am near, have a gift card that you load, just like walmart does. You can do just about any amount you want and she can only buy what's in the store....there is no option to cash it out.
A few phone calls should give you some places near her that have them. |

this is true for canada, and probably for the united states, you can get gift cards from chain grocery stores, where they won't give you cash back. if i were you i'd call one of those chains. |
