The only money I did spend was on credit for my mobile so I could text my special guy, and that was worth it! |

In gave all the money I would've spent to charity. Pissed a lot of people off, but was well worth it. Didn't send chrimbo cards as they'll only end up in landfill, and didn't want to give gifts to people who already have everything they want. So no point in spending loads. My local charity benefited enormously so I'm very happy. Merry Christmas all, remember what it's all about!!!! |

A lot of people seem to be getting the message that the commercial aspect of Christmas isn't really all that cool any more, and so they are spending a whole lot less and enjoying it more, being with family and just not equating happiness with objects and money. I spent about twenty-five bucks on postage to send out a bunch of Christmas cards, and that was "it," so I am feeling pretty wonderful right now. I do not have extended family with young people, so I do not have a group of people for whom to buy gifts, which is rather wonderful. I would say the twenty-five dollars I did spend was very well spent because it succeeded in connecting me with all my old friends once again. I hope all of you reading this on Yahoo! Answers this evening have a wonderful Christmas. Sent with good energies from Chris, in South Portland, Maine, U.S.A. (I am 63 years old, so my whole Christmas program has been simplified in a really sensible way, so I am not knocking myself out or bankrupting myself, starting into the new year.) |

Did not spend a whole lot. One kid in the imideate family. The rest of us get what we want pretty much year round so not much to get. Just spend time with each other. |

I spend around $600 to buy for 20 people. Everyone got what they wanted. $600 is less than one paycheck for me, so yes, of course it was worth it!!
Christmas time is a time for spending with friends and family and looking forward to the new year. It is a time for celebration. It's also a time to make and share memories. There should not be talk of money, hatred, or jealousy.
It is a time of reflection and making your life better by surrounding yourself with loving people. It's a time to gather strength from those around you.
