Ditto everyone else. I'll add that there is a process that you can go through on eBay. They have a fraud protection process.
It might be worth you calling the local police department in the seller's home town, too. File a complaint. |

With most banks, you can't stop payment on a check that has been cleared. But what you can do is notify eBay about the seller and report that they are ignoring you. You may also be able to dispute it with your bank, but that all depends on your bank. Give your bank's customer service a call to find out what they can do for you. But, you should still report them to eBay. |

No, but you should advise EBay. Next time, pay via a credit card or Paypal. There are people who make money on EBay selling nothing. |

don't assume he hasn't shipped it to you until 2 weeks have gone by - ebay messages don't always go thru - I have had that problem for years. check his feedback rating to see if there are any negative feedbacks against him and read the comments - if after 2 weeks, you still haven't reached him or gotten your items - leave negative feedback - too many of those and he'll get kicked off ebay |

Awe, that's crappy! Contact FairTrade on Ebay. Report the seller. Your bank won't reverse the cashed check, and stop check is not available after the check is cashed. If the person is a low feedback, they may not care and just close the eBay account. If they have higher feedback they may not want to risk getting shut down. It is a form of stealing....you could make out a police report, if you mailed it to them, you have their address! And name! So sorry....Paypal is the way to go. Sellers that don't accept paypal are a big red flag! |

Contact ebay and tell them. there are (in the united states) very strict laws pertaining to this. Ebay customer service should help. to help other buyers steer clear of this dishonest seller, give them a negative rating. always check the seller's rating before you bid. |

No cheque can be cancelled after its cleared.
First of all, you need to contact the eBay.
Click on the "live help" on the eBay home page. The eBay customer service will tell you what you should do. |

If you wrote a personal check and have proof you can contact the local authorities where the person has the money then you can file a complaint with you bank and they will contact the bank where the check was cashed and there could be a photo of the person and don't forget they have to have an account to cash or deposit a check. Good Luck |

No. You can't cancel a check that has been cleared. Also, sellers on Ebay wants the checks to be cleared before they send the product. The seller is either busy or you did get ripped off. Depending on the amount of time you've waited for the product, you should contact Ebay and report this. Ebay will try to help you. |

you have to deal witht he seller but you can also contact ebay and they will try to help you as best as they can. This happened to me and it wasn't a large amount of money but it was still money and ebay helped me get it back. Be patient though becuase it takes a little while. |

No...the bank has already cashed it. They are not going to take the loss for you. Everybody I know, who buys from people on e-bay or other sites, has gotten burned. You're going to find plenty of crooks on there...it's so easy to scam somebody! |

Talk to your bank, but also talk to Ebay. They have strict policies on sellers. If he wont respond to you, ensure you give him a HORRIBLE rating. Start a dispute through Ebay and dont give up. If nothing else, maybe you can keep other people from getting screwed too. |

No, you can't..that is why you should always pay by credit card if possible since you can dispute a charge with a credit card and get an immediate credit for the charge until they resolve your claim. If your claim is correct and accepted by card company , the credit will become permanent. |

Contact Ebay. They may not get your money back but can deal with the crook. |

You can't get the money back from the bank. What you need to do is file a claim with Ebay. I believe they reimberse you if the seller turns out to be a scammer. It'll be a while as they'll still attempt to get you your item first. |

report it to ebay they have helped me resolve a similar problem in the past. I don't think you can cancel a check that has already cleared b/c they already have your money. |

no. but file a claim on ebay and they might assist you or at least kick the loser off ebay. |

i don't think so not once it clears. that sucks report them to ebay so they can't do it again. maybe ebay can refund you, but i don't know for sure |

Report it to Ebay, make sure you list the item, the price paid, and all of the other information you have
if it is a high priced item, call your's and the seller's local law enforcement agency, that is theft and you can get help from them |
|

Prophet 1102

Nope - you now have to deal with the seller.
Small Claims Court is your next stop. |
