You'll need to continue until your credit score is back up a bit, but you can get a mortgage with low credit. They do, however, charge you a higher interest rate, making you pay more a month and in total. It is wisest to keep your credit score good until you get it above 700. You can do this by paying loans consistently and on time for two or more years, by opening credit cards and keeping them in good standing, and by increasing the amount of money you have in savings. |
