Alot of car dealerships near military bases offer flexible financing for all ranks in the army. Just do some research around the base and you should find a dealer that is willing to do that. I know I see signs everyday stating they will finance E-1 and up. Take a drive around the base and see what certain dealers offer. Depending on where this individual is stationed some bases have a dealership of some sort on base. Here, they have a auction lot. I am sure with no credit and three years in the army this individual should have no problem getting a loan for a decent car. |

I personally would save for a car and stay out of debt.... debt is bad.
BUT, if you must do it then go to your Army Credit Union and they should give you a great deal! |

Your best bet is to go to your bank and request a credit card. Buy something using your card (something small - e.g. item of clothing), and when you get your bill just pay it off straight. Simply owning a credit card will give you some credit rating. Once you have a credit rating most companies will be willing to offer you loan.
I had this problem when trying to sign up for a mobile phone contract - no one would take me on because I had no credit history. So I simply got a credit card - used it once, and reapplied for a monthly phone contract and I was instantly accepted.
It is stupid in this country how people with a bad credit history are still offered loans, credit cards, etc, and someone with no credit history is regarded as a liability. |

Hi,try Northern Rock you can apply on line 3 & a half years in the army should help.If you cannot get a loan apply for a credit card make sure you pay it off quick.Good Luck
Had a thought your wages must go into a bank have you asked them.When I take out a loan I go for the shortest term I can afford found Northern Rock charges a couple of hundred pounds in interest which is not much. |

Its a tough one, because you have to have debt in the first place to get a credit rating. Have you consider applying for a store card, next time you need something and have the cash apply for a card and pay it off straight away. another way is to get a mobile phone on contract, its a minimum of a 12 month contract but it all still counts towards a credit rating.
If you are desperate for a loan try one of them companies that come to your house each week to collect money, one of my family members is an agent for provident personal credit. They will give money to anyone. |

Navy federal credit union is pretty good about giving loans to sailors/marines without credit but usually wont approve for more that $10000 without established credit. Do you have some kind of equivalent bank for the army ie Armed forces bank? Well best of luck man. |

Get AWAY from the Army Post area to buy a car !!! If you live in Quarters,you should have no bills. 3.5 yrs in service...you should be E-4,at the least E-3...save a down payment...4 months you should have $2000 Bucks easy. Nothing says "lets Deal" like green cash! Get some help from a trusted NCO....preferably a married one that has been around. He'll keep you from getting screwed. Good Luck |
