What's the best way for a 12 year old to earn money??? I can't get a job yet and i need to start saving for somthing that costs around $800's.....i want to have enough money for this item in about a year or less (ASAP really !!!) but i know it will take time. I've advetised for babysitting but no one will call me back so for the time being that's not working! I need other LEGAL solutions and as fast as you can get them to me!!!

I am 12 too!!! If you can't get a client by advertising for babysitting try telling your neighbors or something. You can have a bake sale, lemonade stand (I know it is kinda cheesy, but trust me, people by it not because they want it because they think were SOOO CUTE!!... :-p...lol) I got like $32 bucks doing it in like 2 hours. You can ask your parents for an allowance, do a car wash, offer to do some sort of work for your neighbors, grandparents, aunt or uncle. Ask you parents if you can go into work with them and ask if you can sweep or something for cash. You can rub your parents feet ( I know its kinda gross but I get like $10 an hour). You can walk dogs, be a mother's helper. You could try all of these and you will probably have all that money within no time!!!!!!!! good luck! |

Babysit for family members. You could also talk to your parents about giving you $25 for every A on your report card, or $15 for every B when school starts, this way your grades stay up and your getting money. You could also walk neighborhood dogs for busy families. Have a garage sale. As far as needing money goes, I have found myself in a pinch from time to time. Sometimes in order to move forward with purchasing, we must take a step back by selling off assets. Have a garage sale, mow lawns, go door-to-door and offer to do chores for others, invest in items you can sell for profit, the list goes on and on. You've got the "I want it , and I want it now" mindset right now, and you'll find that time, patience, and hard work will get you things you want in life. Best of Luck!!! |

The best way to get babysitting gigs is not to "advertise", but to talk to people in your church or other activities who have small children. Also, some people probably think you are too young to babysit. However, here are a few ideas that children I know have used: feed/walk people's pets while they are out of town, PC repair, lawn mowing/raking, housework (at home or for others), car washing, selling stuff on the internet (stuff you make, buy wholesale or already have & don't want). For that matter, go around to all your friends, relatives & neighbors & ask for donations of stuff you can sell online or in a yard sale. Also, you should know that you can start a business at any age, even if you can't work for someone else's. Think about unique skills that people might be willing to pay for.
