You will never be satisfied until you get that new camera. If you spend you're money on other stuff, it won't have the same value for you. Saving and getting the camera will give you a sense of accomplishment. Frittering the money away will give you a sense of failure.
Keep your eye on the goal and stick your fingers in your ears when friends try to sidetrack you. You can do it! : ) |

Are you saving for a specific camera? Perhaps you could spend some time doing some research and find your camera on sale. then you could spend some of the money on something else. |

save it for what you really want.....don't waste it on your friends..they are being selfish....i know it's hard to want things and then have money for something else but you'll be more satisfied with that camera once you get it....stay strong |

What worked for my wife is that she saved up for what she wanted, make some extra money for your shopping sprees, plus it better to have a camera that way you can take pictures of all the clothes you try on. |

Keep some in your checking account and move a lot over to your savings. Its important to allow yourself to spend some money, but not ALL of it. You can go shopping now and still save for a camera. |

Depends how much the camera is. If its a really expensive one and you really need to go shopping i suppose you could lower your expectations on the camera and spend some money on other stuff. Therefore you still have money for a camera it just may not be as dazzling as you had originally planned. Or you could just fight the urge to shop and in the long run you will be happy you did. |

Give the money to a parent who wont give it back til you have enough for a camera. Control yourself - you need to learn how to restrain yourself when it comes to spending, what are you going to do when you have kids or a mortgage?
oh and ignore the 'you can make money at home on your computer' rubbish, if that was true, wouldnt we all be doing it? |

I think you should save up for the camera and then you can take money out to go shopping it

That's what's wrong with americans. Always spending, spending, spending. Then complaining when they have to work until 70 or 80 because they wanted to buy that camera when they were 20 or 30.
Save it. Yeah get your camera but don't feel the urge to just spend on everything you think you want. |

U have to think about whats more important to you! and only u, cause your friends are not going to take pictures that will last a life time! Remember if u don't really care about this camera then go ahead but if this is what u really want just let them know that u can't and that's it. |

I would forget I had it. If it is in a savings account, then it can draw interest. It is fun to save, but to take it out and spend it could be a real let down and disaster. Just use the money you presently have in your pocket and forget the money you put away. You will be glad you did. |

Well if you have enough put most of it in the bank account then go shopping. Then keep saving with what you put in the bank. That is what i would do. Keep most of it but spend a bit of it |

Who's money is it? Don't let your friends help you spend it. Stay fixed on your goal. You will then see and enjoy the rewards of your work.
Good Luck |

Depends on how bad you want the camera. If you do go shopping don't take all your money with you that way you can't spend it all. |

why would you take your friends shopping if it's your saved money - save for the camera |
