Money is int everything but it helps....to keep the lifestyle I am accustomed too, you have better holidays, better clothes, better looking women on Ur arm, and eat out in better restaurants, people respect you more when you have money, I have money now but that wasn't always the case I too have been a slave to the minimum wage so I can see both sides and yes money has in my case definitely made my life better

Money isn't everything!!!
Like the my old proverb;
Can't live with it - try living without it.

you can't do pretty much anything without it costing money these days, I feel I earn a decent wage and I still struggle .
It must be an absolute B*TCH for all those with money to spare.

You don't have to be rich to say that.Knowing that a girl friend , a buddy, loving parents, good health, sound sleep and such big or small pleasures are all things but not money. To grasp it more clearly one should read or say it as a flat statement like, 'light is not darkness'.However, the common usage has lent it a meaning as used by you.

.Put it this way...my future sister-in-law is earning a fortune as is my brother-in-law. Their joint salaries are about 75, 000...less than what my husband and I earn. And like most folk we are counting the pennies at end of month! *LOL*
BUT
All she wants is a loving partner and children..neither of which she has...she has a beautiful house and wads of cash but is not happy.
New years days she said to me "you are so lucky to have what you have"...and i knew what she meant.
I think she would give up some of her money for a more loving partner and a child.

Hello,

(ANS) The truth is we live in a capitalist society, so that means "everything" is based on having a monetary value i.e. a price. This is a mind-set, our society has at times what I perceive to be an unhealthy obsession with money. i.e. everything is reduced down to money. And we are even in danger of loose sight of our own humanity as a result of this kind of obsession.

**The statement, Money isn't everything? is true in itself. Meaning whilst having money , earning money, spending money, etc is important. Its NOT the most important thing in life. It means a person may appreciate or value other less tangible things over purely money.

**There are many many things in life, which money cannot buy (thank goodness) like love, like good will, like family, like kindness, etc, etc.

**Yes! if you are poor or very poor then the statement money isn't everything might seem quite hollow indeed. If you are struggling to keep a roof over your head, feed your self or family, etc then yes! money is going to vitally important.

**If your a multi-millionaire like Richard Branson or Bill Gates then the challenges of having that kind of money are completely different. Having millions places even more responsibility on the millionaire to use that money in a positive way. Not just to booze it away or something.

**Money is relative to how much you have in my opinion.

Yeah, I think a lot of people who are less well off know that happiness is more important than money and they make do with what they've got. Whereas the well off people are money hungry and obssessed with it.

money isnt everything.
MONEY BUYS HAPPINESS.
but love is the greatest of anything in the world. Its the best feeling also. money cant do the things love can do for love. but money helps everything

i do believe money isn't everything, but i can very rarely say it! As long as I can pay the bills then i'm fine.

But you're right it is only rich people who say it. I wonder if their attitude would change if they lost it all???

Its a necessity but not everything..

I have heard (1) "Time is money and gold" , and (2) "There are some money in the air". I also have heard (3) "You can not buy real love and respect with your money" and (4) "You can not buy any good society in the market"
Money is something miracle! People said "it is not everything", but it is important for our consumption.
It would be better if you look at our lives into 2 dimensions; (1) Subjective and (2) Objective.
Then you will see "Money isn't everything for subjective dimension but it is very important for objective dimension in the consumption world.
So, you can choose which way of "well being" would you like and which one that money is involved or not.

It all depends on your veiws , money is important , but not everything as the more you have , the more you want , and after all health is more important , so is happyness

The well off can afford to take such view. People on low wage struggle.
