it isnt BAD, some people dont have any money left over... it depends, is that with or without groceries? if its without then, well if you dont like doing much or buying much sure its enough to live by... you are just one of the 85% of americans who live what we call "paycheck to paycheck" but hey thats life... your a slave to the money then you die. |

Is that after you buy food? If so, then put 10% of that into a savings account and have fun with the rest. |

That fine as long as you budget that as well. Did you factor in food? Start putting 10% of that into savings. When you build a 3 month emergency supply (to pay bills if you lose a job or whatever) then start a money market account with the rest minus 3%. That 3% will then become your spending account to do what you want with it. |

sounds good to me. i have nothing haha [ no job at the moment, but i have no bills] however what i would do is treat myself to something for me once or twice a month i.e: a new outfit, manicure, pedicure, massage, or anything you want. and then spend the rest on whatever esp savings. |

That is great.....set aside a certain amount for fun and save thirty-five percent automatically. Leave this in an untouchable account and save it for something that might be unexpected. Otherwise, enjoy that....... |

Save some money in an emergency fund. Don't touch it unless you have to. Stuff happens, and you can avoid the credit trap if you have some $$ set aside. Put a little in a retirement fund too - sounds silly now, but you'll regret not doing it later (like me) if you don't think about it.
Remember that DirectTV and cell phone are OPTIONAL. |
