Paper round is about it. Maybe odd jobs for neighbours/friends, although watch it on that one.

Get a paper round. Good pocket money.

Do a boot fair and get him to sell some of his things too, that means you can both get a bit of extra cash.

Caroline
Sell things on Ebay! You would have to set up the account though - and make sure he was doing it properly, but a good little money earner if done well i'd say! Especially if he knows something about a certain type of thing!

Paper round - starting doing one when I was 11, money was ok, better at xmas with all the tips.

Other options could be washing cars for your neighbours but you should probably agree a price with them first.

Barbiq
Walking dogs for the neighbors, shoveling snow, raking leaves and doing other yard work for neighbors and friends...look into taking a babysitting course and there's another option. Best of luck.

sarcasticquotemarks
Do you pay him to do the things around the house?

He can paint addresses on curbs in the neighborhood.

christina_m_taft
You could send him to http://www.treasuretrooper.com/173384 Some of the offers are only available to 18 and older, but many are not, plus it doesn't cost anything and it could be practice for his business sence later in life if he wanted to get referrals, which he would earns 20 % of what his referrals made. You know, he could make fliers and what have you (they have a template already). Let me know if you have any questions. I've been doing it so I know it's safe and legit, but I suggest you go take a look around, too, before your son signs up, just as a mind of setting your mind at ease. Good luck to you both!

My sons earn pocket money by doing jobs around the house too.
They are paid for each job ie.washing up is 20p,walking the dog is 50p,making their bed 10p etc.So the more they do the more they earn.
Also do you use wheelie bins in your area as my sons earn money by washing our neighbours ones.

If the things he is doing are around your house only then maybe he could expand to the neighbours - like the old Scouts bob-a-job week (don't know if they still do that). He could offer to wash cars, pick up shopping for the elderly or infirm, do housework etc for them - you can keep an eye by going round with him at first so you are happy with who he is helping (for his safety) and so you will know where he is.

Really glad to hear about such an enterprising young lad - well done to him!

Let him decide what else he would like to do thats within his ability, when we do business that we like we are most likely to succed

Bron
Check out the web site below. Maybe he could learn how to invest and you could support him in doing it.

A saturday job somewhere, employers prefer it if parents attend with child when looking for saturday work, it shows commitment.
A paper round is a good idea but only if the area is safe.
Dog walking or pet sitting during holiday times is a great way of earning extra money, try advertising in local shops.
Good luck with it, it's great when kids show a determination and potential for business!

Train him how to repair a mobile phone, he will earn good money regularly by repairing others' mobile phones at home. Mobile phones are rampant these days.

i wash cars at weekends

Lucianna
Light lawn work in the summer and fall. Mow/trim yards, rake leaves, wash cars. Shovel snow in the winter, offer to run errands for people.
Paper route is a good one, even if some one else did suggested it first.

emma
he could get a paper round or wash cars for people where he lives

miamac49616
My son at 13 was raking leaves and mowing lawns for neighbors. He made pretty decent money at it too.
