Best way would be through a comparison site, fill in the one form, get many quotes, see what suits you best. It saves plenty of time.

My are dear to me also. Turn the temperatur down on your water heater, or hey, turn it off during the summer and save a lot. Raise the temperature of your house a couple degree in the summer and lower it in the winter.
At my house, I installed 6 more inches of insullation in my attic my self. That has made a difference in my energy bills this summer. I will see what it does for me this winter. |

stay with brit gas and the elect,. board,as was.It can be a bad mistake to change,just use low energy light bulbs and don,t have heating in rooms you do not use.switch off everything not in use,do not use sleep mode.air con,if you are lucky ,at 24.insulate your pipes and loft/roof space.keep your doors and windows shut. best of luck. |

Go to uswitch.com, enter in your last quarters consumption details, choose dual fuel and monthly direct debit payment for cheapest results.
Check every 6 months as all the suppliers are trying to outdo each other. I've not found it worthwhile in the last 2.5 years as potential savings were so small as to not be worth the change.
First changed 3 years ago using this method and am just in process of changing again as I can now gain about 9% savings over previous cheapest supplier .
It is simple and painless to change. However be careful!!!!!!
Your previous supplier will be on the phone asking you to change back. They record the conversations and if the can get a "yes" out of you by asking an oblique question like - would you like me to sort it out for you - they then use as proof you want to stay with them.
British Gas did this with my 85 year old Mother by confusing her and then refused to change her back to new supplier for another 6 weeks (min contract period). So beware of underhand methods! |

I have a right moan to my wife about this 1.
she has lights on in the house all day, 4 tvs in the house all running at the same time usually not being watched. she has the heating on "constant" & sets it to 30.
she will wash 1 item of clothing in the machine for the next day rather than put a full wash on. |
