That last time it happened to me, they debit my next deposit, when I inquired to why, I was basically told read the fine print. The one basically when you open an account with, but I still have questions, like if I am using a ATM transaction most of the time, how does this "read the fine print" goes? Hmmm... I too want to know. And really, why my fault?Think I need to ask my lawyer this one.No I don't know what exactly is mines at times, I run a small business and from time to time monies are deposit into my account and I will not know until my statements come through, so now what! |

No. And they'll probably catch it, and when they do, they'll take it back out of your account. You know it's not yours - why do you even ask the question? |

If the bank realizes their error, they'll take it away even if that means leaving you with a negative balance. If they don't catch it, it's yours. But don't count on them not catching it. |

A friend of mine had a small machine shop. A check appeared once, made out to his company name for a nearby BIG company.
So he called the BIG COMPANY and asked.. How come you are sending me this check? Of course, the clerk said that it was his... DUH!
So my buddy checked across the state line for a business with the same company name. HE FOUND ONE. So he called and asked the guy, HEY, do you do business with BIG COMPANY, which the guy replied, YES, but they never pay their darn bill. So my friend sent him the check.
The check was for over a million dollars. He didn't exactly think that his bank would take it.

They'll notice their mistake eventually. Banks are all about checks and balances. I wouldn't do anything, they'll correct it.
Otherwise you can be charged with theft. |
