why don't you just go to an ATM and try it? did you really need to ask this question? |

I would think the obvious thing to do is ask the bank that issued the debit card. Plus, if the card looks to you as if it has been damaged by the car wash, take it to them and have them order you up a fresh card. |

It won't hurt to try it at any atm. If it doesn't work it will just spit the card back out. |

Should be, those temperatures won't affect it. It's no worse than being in your wallet on a hot day. The water will have damaged the signature strip probably, but the chip is self enclosed and the water shouldn't have affected the magnetic strip.
Best thing to do is take it to a supermaket, and try and pay for something with it. If the supermarket chip&pin machine can't read it, it's knackered. If it can, you can try an ATM or you could just get cashback. But even if it doesn't work, it won't be swallowed as it would by an ATM. |

As long as the card has not been demagnetized then it should be fine. I have washed my husband's card more than once because he never empties his pockets and his card still works fine (though the paint on the lettering has faded considerably) |

Give it a try. If the black strip is demagnetized, then you need a new one. |

Should be fine. The wash doesn't demagnetize the card so it should still work. |

Try it and find out. Mine still worked! |

It should be, the safest/easiest way to check is to do a balance inquiry at an ATM. |

You should be ok, give it a try! If it works cool, if not, get a replacement- should be free |

Yes, it is fine. I accidentally ran over mine once at one of those car wash wand places when leaving the wash. For some reason I had it in my pocket and it fell out while washing the car. Drove back very quickly once I realized it was missing. After that bit of torture it continued to work just fine. btw...I never did that again, put the card in my pocket. |

Why don't you simply try it and see. Or, if you're afraid it will be rejected or swallowed up, why not tell your bank what's happened and ask for a replacement. That would be the sensible thing to do. |

It'll work even better now.
Water doesn't hurt it but sunrays do.
Never leave it in a sunny spot in the room, it will die. |
