turn off the phone, or get out of the contract. pay the bill for the last time and count your blessings. it could have been 3 years down the line,no pun intended. don't fight, it's only money. my ex was a very expensive lesson. God sees and hears everything. with knowing that, i was able to move on. money is funny, it means very little when you are spending it on someone you think is your life's partner, then we find out, it's not at all what we thought. that's a great pain, i can feel yours, please find comfort in that person put here for you, if you are not sure who that is, you are very lucky, you must have numerous people to call on. some of us are on our own, i try to look somewhere inside. i've been in seclusion for 5 mnths.from the world and the cinema. i'm in disbelief of the fool that i am. pay for the tele. bill, let this be what it cost you to rid of such pain. please. do not be like me and do not ask for any obligated money, if he were still your honey, you would let him slide, so, be the bigger one and cease this thing. i can't breathe, you don't want it to be like this, let it go. If he's your ex husband see your divorce attorney
If it's a ex friend cancel or extend you contract taking them off your account. Most cell phone companies will allow you to do that especially when their is a problem.
Explain to you ex that if he doesn't pay his part you will sue in small claims court. In most states small claims court is relative inexpensive.
Have your bills so you can show how much he owes. If you have lost them or destroyed them request copies from your cell phone provider.

The bill is in your name, so you need to pay; however, you could try small claims court as long as you have all of the necessary documentation to support your case, bills with his number, etc. Also, shut off his phone! |

,shut it off and change pass words ...you can turn it off for a certain period of time without charge (says its lost)..tell him pay up or it goes off you can change the number on it also... so he receives no calls but you have to make sure that its pass word sensitive and he cannot call and have it turned back on |

If you are the main name on the account you should be able to have his line turned off.... if there is an outstanding bill, you may have to pay it, but you can take him to small claims court for any money you have paid for his phone service |

You can pay the bill in full and discontinue all communications and sexual relations with a trifling *** ex and rack this up to experience.
You have no legal recourse since the contract is only under your name.
There is a good reason why he is your "ex". Now, you just need to extricate him from your life completely.

You can play dumb and tell them that you didn't know about the other number and tell them that you will not pay for the bill. My ex tried the same thing with our credit card. It was in my name but his was put on it too. He had used it for aol and it was very expensive years ago. when I got the bill I told them that I never used the card for any aol, I didn't even know what it was at the time and they took it off my bill. Maybe you can say the same. I know it's not a credit card bill but yours was joint so maybe it'll work in your favor. The sad thing though is it's in your name and technically you are the one responsible for it. Maybe you can get some money from your ex little at a time? just a thought... |
