I hope so. How old are you twelve? How the hell did she "make a hole in the condom" without your knowing? Maybe you should take the initiative and put the damn thing on directly from the package if you're so concerned about having to pay, what did you call it? "Child Maintenance Money!?!? Accidents happen, darling, even when the "girlfriend" doesn't put holes in your condom. And to face reality at an even higher level, children are neither cars, nor houses, they require a HELL of a lot more than "Maintenance" money. In fact if they gave away asshole awards on here, you would deserve one. Before you go poking your pokey around, cover it securely in saran wrap. foil, a zipper bag, and some spermicide jelly just to insure the poor woman (and possible child) that neither will have to look to you for anything. |

Being a "deadbeat" is quite an honor. It provides many additional priviledges in life, including, but not limited to, child support orders, alimony agreements and being locked up for non-payment.
Its a storybook ending.
You might be able to sue your significant other for condom tampering. Stiff (no pun intended) penalties, if convicted. |

I would say that what is good for a woman must be good for a man. Everyone knows that it takes two to conceive a child. But, women have argued and won the right in court to terminate an unwanted pregnancy.--Unwanted by her, that is. If the guy wants to keep it, she can still terminate it against the father's wishes.
You should get a lawyer and argue the reverse but equal point. You do not want it, so you should not be forced to be a father. It is not fair to guys that women can terminate a life without any regard or input from the guy. Well, ok then. If a guy chooses not to be a father of an unwanted child, he should be able to decline. I would say that the guy would need to decline to be a father before the child is born. I think once the child is born, that you agree by default if you did not make your case before the birth.
Sounds contoversial, I know, but it is an argument. I think what is fair is fair. If one can terminate, then both should be able to. If one can't (the female) then the guy can't.

If you've got proof of her wrong-doings you can get a good lawyer and take her to court. I answered a question the other day about a guy who's girlfriend didn't want to have an abortion while he did and he took her to court over child support and won. He doesn't have to give her a dime.
I hope I have provided you with helpful information. (It's girls that do things like this that make me very angry at my gender). Good luck and I hope you teach her a lesson about what is right and wrong. She deserves to be on her own for this one. |

Yes you do and you should. Even if she put a hole in it the child is still your responsibility. You don't want kids then keep your penis in your pants. It might have happened anyway, no contraception is 100% effective. Take responsibility. |

The duty of care still lies with you but if you had proof that she intentionally damaged the condom with out your consent then your position would change.
Sadly, with out real proof you (as the parent) would be liable for maintenance. You consented to have sex & as such you agreed to take the risk involved.
A very difficult case for any one to prove!
In the UK a woman has just be jailed for having sex with men, knowing she has HIV (one man now also have contracted HIV) - she admitted to inflicting GBH recklessly. What you could counterclaim against I have no idea - theft?? |

I feel sorry for you if you are not ready to be a parent. I really get upset when I here that a woman would do that to a man because I'm a woman and it makes us all look bad. Of course. You're not paying your girlfriend to have a child. You'll be paying for the care of a wide-eyed cute little baby, that will need it's fathers support.
I'm afraid it happens a lot. Some women want a child + the maintenance, but not the father.

Yes, if you are the father and no matter the circumstances you will have to pay child maintenance. You are entitled to a paternity test. The court will not entertain this as fact, that your girlfriend put a hole in the condom, so I wouldn't even bring it up as an argument. If the court establishes parternity you will have to pay. Even if you file bankrupsy you will still have to pay. nothing will stop them from getting your money. You can thank all the dead beat fathers out there for that one. Good luck |

hi my boyfriend went through the same kind of thing and had to pay 75 pound per week and we got in so so much debt, if the baby is biologically yours then yes you will have to pay even if your name isnt on the birth certificate , if you wish to contend it then dont put your name on the birth certificate, this al depends if you wsh to see the child ad be involved, if so the yes you will have to pay . good luck |
