Get legal advice fast, don't ignore any letters. And see if there is a reputable IVA company you can contact. Good Luck and hope he chokes on his next meal. |

You need to get some legal advice on this. If you were married then he shares the debts!! At least speak to the citizens advice bureau, be tough and don't take it all lying down girl!!! |

Oh dear,thats not good,poor thing.If you explain this to the creditors then they should be fairly understanding?depending on the amount of the debts combined,then you may be able to apply to be made bankrupt?Im not sure how you would go about this,probably though a solicitor,especially as you dont think that you will ever get anywhere on the wages that you earn at present.hope it helps* |

Need a bit more info. Are you divorced? If so, why did you not get your Lawyer to get the debts at least split in half.
I actually had this happen to me (I'm a guy who got the ex's bills). I got another part time job at night to help pay; paid off her bills and yes, it did take a while but I'm back on my feet happy as can be. Hang in there. Heck, get another boyfriend, maybe he'll help. |

I would suggest going through cccs. They are a fantastic charity that speak to your creditors and fix you a budget that won't leave you short. They really are fantastic and understanding.

I think you should contact the Consumer Credit Counselling Service. They're a charity that deal with debt management.
The CCCS will conduct a telephone interview and ask you your outgoings and incomings. They will send you some forms to fill in for example a contract saying you won't take out any more credit and an incme and expeniture budget. All they will ask is for you to write to all the creditors using a template they give you. This informs the creditors that you are starting a debt management plan. All the creditors money will be consolidatd and they should all stop interest. When the CCCS figure out how much you can afford to pay your creditors you pay that on a monthly basis and the CCCS split it between all your creditors.
This scheme works as I have personal experience. It takes time but you will pay them all off in the end. The CCCS conducts an annual review so for 11 months of the ear you can relax.
Oh and don't forget - its a charity - they don't charge! |

citezens advice take a while though they can hellp out but they only do it for a while. phone your local coucil they will have a moeny advice unit which are good, might also be worth seeing a lawyer who won't charge you if you are skint. Contact all the creditors and tell them the situation, some won't be nice but even if you pay them all £1 a week they are leaglly bound to accept it and it prevents any court action...which is not often likely. If he ordered things in your name without you knowing then that is fraud and you can go to the police. Don't let the pressure build up!!! Talk to someone!!! TELL ALL HIS FRIENDS AND FAMILY WHAT THE RAT BAG HAS DONE!!! Stick to your guns and if you want someone to talk to I'm here and I've been there and done that!!! |

go to tha C.A.B,they will help you,they will make a financial statement for you,& send it to all your creditors,when you go make sure you take everything with you,everything to do with the dept,in the mean time make payments,(minimum) if need be.the C.A.B will get any added interest frozen,so make sure you make your payments on time,every month,or someone told me about a site called I.V.A,its worth a look,Dont worry yourself about dept,its not worth it,good luck hun xx |

yes definatley get legal help. i just went through this. my lawer helped me consolidate my bills n helped with personal finace while helping figure out how to get the bastard that did this to me. luckily it wasnt so bad, but it could have been worse. its also not wise to get through this on yr own. oh n when the creditors call n harrass you making you feel like the scum of the earth, keep in mind, its just their job. tell em you're doing what you can, you'll be surprised how many of them are willing to work with you. good luck. |

the best thing to do is goto citizens advice they can advise you on what steps to take. If at all possible do not take out one of these loans which put all ur debts into one cus dont forget they put interest on to that and i think if your a home owner you house is then at risk. Seek legal advice as soon as possible, do not bury ur head in the sand, and if i was you leave ur husband because someone who can do that to you is not worth your time!! Good luck |

At the worst case you might have to declair yourself bankrupt,
This is not as bad as it seems as long as you don't own your own house, if you are on a low income they probably will not take any of your wages as you have to live! They probably wont take any of your possesions (unless you got a brand new beemer outside) personal bankruptsy normally only lasts for a year nowdays, then you will be debt free |
